MERLIN REIMER Dad passed away peacefully, with family at his side, on November 22, 2011 at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 78. Dad enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren at various sporting and musical events, daily walks through the mall and a Tim Horton's coffee. Merl is survived by his son Steven and wife Darcie, grandchildren, Erin, Michael and Daniel; daughter Jodi Bachynski and husband Craig, grandchildren Eric and Mark. He is also survived by siblings Doreen, Don (Gail), Betty Ann Nissen (Guenther) and families; brother-in-law Ken Gray (Joan) and sister-in-law Lola Taplin and families. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff on E-3 at Riverview. You provide your patients with compassion, dignity, respect and humour on a daily basis. We will never forget the care you gave to Dad. Thanks also to Dr. Daeninck, Tracy Chornopyski and the staff at CancerCare. Special thanks to Merl's brother Don for the regular visits paid to Dad. It eased our minds and brightened his days. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
